Thanuja is an Associate member of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries UK (IFOA). She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Colombo, Master’s in Actuarial Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Management from Heriot Watt University, Scotland, UK.

Thanuja specializes in life insurance and has more than 20 years of experience in life actuarial and she also has non-life actuarial experience too. Thanuja is serving life, non-life and other industry clients in Sri Lanka and Overseas. She has worked for two major life insurers, Ceylinco Life and Union Assurance PLC in her early career and later moved to actuarial consulting
Thanuja has actuarial experience of many areas such as Actuarial valuations, Risk based capital solvency reporting for Life and Non-life insurance, and solvency projections Life Insurance pricing, Non-Life reserving, IFRS 17, Actuarial training, Risk management, Life Insurance profit projection, Training for Non-Actuaries (sales, marketing, life operation, finance etc.), Micro insurance, Benefit and Gratuity valuation, Training and building Actuarial teams, Market research, Experience review, Reinsurance optimization, Embedded value calculations etc.

Thanuja also works as a strategic actuary for insurance companies in providing technical and strategic advices for company’s growth and development.

She is a founder member and a past president of the Actuarial Association of Sri Lanka. She volunteers for International Actuarial Association (IAA) and Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK (IFOA) for the development of the Actuarial Profession around the world. She is Vice Chair of Asia Task Force of IAA and a member of Advice and Assistance Committee of International Actuarial Association (IAA).

Iroshini is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (CII). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, UK.

She has 15 years of experience within the life insurance industry having worked across a multitude of functions within a management capacity including five years as the General Manager, Life Operations at Union Assurance PLC.

Lanka is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from the University of Colombo.
Her professional journey began with a strong foundation of nearly 4 years of experience in Audit and Assurance at EY Sri Lanka, focusing primarily on the insurance sector. Lanka transitioned to the insurance industry with Cooplife Insurance Ltd, eventually rising to the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Co-operative Insurance Company PLC, amassing nearly 9 years of combined experience in both life and non-life insurance.
This extensive background demonstrates her comprehensive understanding of insurance operations in both life and non-life sectors, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory compliance, risk-based capital solvency margin requirements, investment management, IT system development, internal control implementation, business development, and risk management. Currently, she serves as the CEO/ Financial Consultant at Actsure Lab, where she leads projects related to IFRS 17 and provides consultancy on finance aspects for both insurance and non-insurance industries, while overseeing overall operations.

Tharushi holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Finance and Insurance from the University of Colombo. She is also a student member of the Society of Actuaries, USA, having passed subjects FM, P, VEE Economics, and Pre-Actuarial Foundations.

Tharushi began her journey with Actsure Lab as an Actuarial Analyst. She possesses sound knowledge of actuarial aspects such as Risk Based Capital Solvency Margin requirement, insurance liability valuation, retirement benefit obligation valuation, modeling etc. and has experience serving both life and non-life insurance clients. Additionally, she is proficient in various programming languages required for her role.

Tharangani holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematical Finance from the University of Colombo. She began her professional career at Actsure Lab and possesses the required technical skills. She is proficient in data science tools and knowledge such as R, Phython etc.

Ishani holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Finance and Insurance from the University of Colombo. She has previous internship experience at Softlogic Life Insurance and has now joined the Actsure Lab team as an Actuarial Analyst to further her career. She is proficient in data science tools such as R, Phython etc
